Programme Details

Diversity in Arts Leadership (Dial) internship program, administered by Americans for the Arts and national partners, matches undergraduate students from backgrounds underrepresented in arts leadership with dynamic communities, energetic host arts organizations, and mentors, to guide students' personal and professional growth throughout the summer. In 2022, the nationwide, competitive pick process will grant paid, ten-week, internships with organizations based in New York Urban center, New Jersey, Nashville, Boston, Sarasota, and Raleigh – Wake County. Summer 2022 programming aims to be back in person.

To ensure an immersive and well-rounded feel, the summer includes:

Work placement at an arts nonprofit in one of half dozen national locations
$4,500 pre-tax summertime work stipend
30+ hours of professional person development workshops, facilitated discussions, and site visits throughDIALogueFridays
Private mentor pairing
A national intern cohort + robust alumni network

The Programs

DIAL: New York Urban center Internship (12 interns) | Immerse yourself in i of the most culturally rich cities in the country.

New York City defines a thriving arts and business concern metropolis. An internship placement at an arts and cultural organization in one of the five boroughs would give you a local experience in an international arts hub. Selected interns will have the opportunity to piece of work for arts organizations and make innovations inside private business units of cultural organizations while learning about a broad range of arts organizations and roles across the five boroughs. DIALogues | Professional Development for Pre/Early Career Arts Leaders

DIALogues is an 9-role professional evolution collection created to back up college students and emerging leaders underrepresented in arts leadership who want to increase their knowledge of arts administration through a cultural disinterestedness lens. This drove of webinars will exist hosted through the Multifariousness in Arts Leadership (Dial) plan, a summertime internship specifically for undergraduate students traditionally underrepresented in the arts direction field.

Registration for the unabridged collection and individual sessions will be bachelor in Leap 2022.
